Wireshark is a free open-source tool for capturing packet data for any type of network. Wireshark has no built-in diagnostics, does not identify any network issues, or provide any potential next steps to resolution.
OptigoVN is purpose-build, cloud-based software for monitoring and troubleshooting BAS and OT network issues. OptigoVN automatically filters out irrelevant and non-BACnet network traffic generated by Wireshark and other packet capture tools to identify specific root causes of OT network issues, so you can quickly resolve them.
OptigoVN supports the BACnet protocol, including BACnet Over IP, Ethernet, MS/TP, and ARCnet.

No, OptigoVN does not interact with OT devices. OptigoVN passively analyzes traffic as it passes through an Operational Technology network.
